Europe: Spain by Ava Liu

I am overdue on photos from the past year. My blog has seen five months of inactivity and I have a backlog back to Bolivia in December. In the meantime, I've decided to short circuit the system by cutting to the (more recent) present.

In June I travelled Spain for three weeks with my friend Zoe. We travelled the coast starting in Barcelona and then down to Sitges, Tarragona, Valencia, and Almería. We crossed Catalonia before visiting the gems of Andalusia: Granada and Sevilla. The following are some snippets:

Salkantay, pt 1 by Ava Liu

I went on a four day trek to the Salkantay mountain in the Sacred Valley. The Salkantay Trek is one of the Inca trails to Machu Pichu and it offers stunning vistas in scenery. What I appreciate most about Peru is the vast diversity in natural beauty found within close kilometres. Through four days on foot, we crossed from winter in the snowy Andes to summer in the Peruvian Amazon.

The Salkantay trek wasn't easy, but it was very do-able. No surprises here: I was very slow. Without further ado, here are some photos from day 1 and 3 (I unfortunately lost the roll of film from day 2):
